FREDERICTON (GNB) – Advance voting takes place this Saturday, Oct. 14, for local government byelections being held in:

•         Beaurivage (councillor-at-large, councillor for Ward 6)

•         Fredericton Junction (mayor)

•         Grand Lake (councillor for Ward 4)

•         Hanwell (councillor-at-large, councillor for Ward 4)

•         Neguac (councillor-at-large)  

•         Riverview (councillor-at-large)

•         Southern Victoria (councillor for Ward 2)

•         Sunbury-York South (councillor for Ward 1)

•         Tracy (two councillors-at-large)

The advance polls will be open to any eligible electors Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Electors should have received a voter information card in the mail that shows the location of their advance and ordinary polls. Anyone who do not receive a card may check their polling station locations on the Elections NB website or call their local returning office.

Election day for these byelections is Monday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Electors also have the option to vote by special ballot at any returning office until Monday, Oct. 23, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Housebound or hospitalized voters unable to attend advance or ordinary polls may ask that a special ballot be brought to them by contacting the returning office for their municipal region.
