Government of New Brunswick
UPDATE – FEBRUARY 2023
All 12 community inclusion networks across the province have now been integrated into their respective regional service commissions. Under the Local Governance Reform that took effect January 1st, 2023, the regional service commissions are now responsible for regional leadership on matters such as community development and transportation. More information on the transition, visit Community inclusion networks integrated into regional service commissions.

The objectives of the12 Community Inclusion Networks (CINs) are to identify, through a collaborative process, regional poverty issues and priorities; and to develop and implement regional poverty reduction plans tailored to local needs and that align with the OPT plans.

The CINs, which are now part of the Regional Service Commissions (RSCs), are at the heart of building community capacity and raising the level of engagement through collective and collaborative impact. They play a coordination role with local organizations and support them in the development and implementation of diverse community projects that promote economic and social inclusion with the aim of reducing poverty.

All citizens, community organizations, local business, government agencies, and communities are encouraged to participate in their local Community Inclusion Network.

The Economic and Social Inclusion Corporation provides financial resources and support to the CINs.
