Over 60 000 artifacts being curated by the province are soon to be repatriated back to their ancestral home. A recent memorandum of understanding was signed between the Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture, Metepenagiag Mi’kmaq Nation and the Metepenagiag Heritage Park to reaffirm a commitment to protect and promote the cultural heritage resources of Metepenagiag Nation.
