FREDERICTON (GNB) – Advance polling for the provincial byelections in Bathurst East-Nepisiguit-Saint-Isidore, Dieppe and Restigouche-Chaleur takes place tomorrow, Saturday, April 15, with a second day of advance polling on Monday, April 17. Polls are open on both days from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

“We encourage people to bring their Voter Information Cards when they come to vote in the advance polls, so that we can provide them with faster service,” said Kim Poffenroth, chief electoral officer.

Voters also have the option of voting at the returning office in each of the electoral districts. The returning offices are open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In addition, Elections NB can arrange, by appointment, to have a special ballot brought to the residence of a voter who is unable to leave their home because of illness or incapacity, and to bring a ballot to that person's caregiver as well.

“These various voting options offer flexibility to individuals to choose the opportunity to vote that is most convenient for them,” said Poffenroth.

Election day for the provincial byelections is Monday April 24.

Information on the locations of advance and regular polling stations is available on the Elections NB website, or by calling 1-888-858-VOTE (8683).
