FREDERICTON (GNB) – Chief Electoral Officer Kim Poffenroth today signed the writs for byelections on June 20 in the ridings of Miramichi Bay-Neguac and Southwest Miramichi-Bay du Vin.
The two seats have been vacant since mid-August 2021, when the elected representatives of the two ridings resigned to offer as candidates in the federal election.
The close of nominations for both byelections is 2 p.m. on Friday, June 3.
Two days of advance voting have been scheduled for Saturday, June 11, and Monday, June 13. Election day is Monday June 20.
