FREDERICTON (GNB) – With the close of nominations today, byelections will be held on Monday, Oct. 23, in the following municipalities:

  • Nigadoo (councillor)
  • Petit-Rocher (councillor)
  • Rexton (councillor)
  • Saint-André (mayor)
  • McAdam (councillor)

A candidate was elected by acclamation in:

  • Grande-Anse (Mayor Daniel P. Lanteigne)

The list of candidates running in each municipality is available on the Election New Brunswick website on the events tab. Candidates have until 5 p.m. on Monday Oct. 2, if they wish to withdraw their name.

One day of advance voting is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14. Polls will be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
