Assistive Technology for Voters with Disabilities
At the Disability Awareness Week breakfast held in Fredericton on Tuesday, June 3, Elections New Brunswick showcased the audio vote system that will be available at the 50 returning offices across the province during the fall provincial election. The technology features a braille controller, paddles as well as a sip-n-puff option, which will allow voters with disabilities to cast a ballot independently.
